      Hi Evan,
does survey work mean, that a multi beam can be installed as well?

          Hi Mikael,

thank you for you quick response! Yes, the surfbee has the additional air propeller, but I don’t think it helps with the vegetation issue in the water. But it is a nice addition for maneuverability, at least I would think so. Ocean alpha has the SL40 but the  other USVs on your list are all using a propeller drive (as far as I know).

I didn’t know that a jet drive is so sensitive. Is that normal and are “only” small stones a problem or could floating vegetation be a problem es well?
Are there any other types of drive on the market that are used in USVs?

          Thanks,
          Rana

              Hello Dave,
I will have a look in only using individual transects as we have never done that before. Normally we average all usable transects from min to max of one cycle to get an overall average.

              Thanks,
              Rana

Yes I mean flow measurements effected due to upstream hatches/locks/turbines etc. But this can also include really low flow velocities and the “bath-tub” effect (not sure how it is called in English, the situation were the water, due to the effects of the locks alternates the flow velocity and can lead in some cases even to a changes in flow direction)

Hi Evan, thank you very much for the videos. They are really helpful. But I noticed the video 5 (SxS)  stops working or rather it seems to fast forward after about 10min. Do you have the same error in the original video?
