Electronic field notes

During our last meeting, I promised to post something on this topic.  I’d like to invite you to share your solutions and needs regarding electronic field notes or EFNs.  Mark Randall has indicated that there is interest in solutions in Australia.  I know that the USGS, Environment and Climate Change Canada, some agencies in France, and perhaps others have custom solutions for their use.  When you post, for those who have EFNs please provide a description of ‘your’ system and include information such as the scope of the EFNs (surface water only or ??), integration with databases, what instrument types are supported (if not all), and so on.  For those who are seeking solutions or enhancements to field notes, describe the features that you require.
